Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons star anise (whole)
  • 1 teaspoon clove (whole)
  • 1 teaspoon sichuan pepper (whole)
  • 1 teaspoon fennel (whole)
  • 2 inch cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (powder)
  • ¼ cup salt (kosher)

Instructions

  • In a dry sautee pan, roast anise, clove, peppers, and fennel briefly.
  • Combine with cinnamon, ginger powder in a coffee grinder and blend into a fine powder.
  • Mix with salt.
