Spicy Citrus Salsa / Marinade

  • 3 oranges
  • 2 apples
  • ½ cup basil (chopped)
  • 3 Tablespoons garlic
  • 3 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 forks sambal (or less)
  • salt (to taste – or use fish sauce)


  • Peel apples and oranges. Remove pulp / pits, slice into segments.
  • Add apple, orange slices, basil, and garlic to processor. Puree.
  • Once pureed, add lemon, sambal, salt. Fish sauce optional. Puree again until mixed.
