- 1 to 1½ pounds squid cut in circles and tentacles
- 4 Tablespoons lemon juice or lime juice
- 1 stalk lemongrass cut as squid
- 2 Tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon chilies crushed – or Sambal
- mint garnish
- cilantro garnish
- red pepper
- Boil squid briefly in water – possibly one minute. (One presumes the squid is then drained.)
- Add blended ingredients, toss.
- Serve on lettuce with cukes and red peppers.
