Bami Goreng (Indonesian Stir Fry)

  • cup chicken
  • cup pork (ground)
  • scallions
  • onion (diced)
  • 1 fork garlic
  • cabbage (thinly sliced)
  • bean sprouts
  • 2 whole chilies
  • 1 fork ginger
  • 4 shrimp
  • 1 Tablespoon soy
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar


  • Oil in wok, add chicken, pork, scallions, onion, and garlic. Stir fry until par cooked and remove.
  • Oil in wok, add cabbage, bean sprouts, chilis, ginger, shrimp, soy and fish sauces, and sugar.
  • Add back other ingredients.
  • Serve on inverted rice plate, garnish with cilantro.


Note the later direction to serve on fried noodles and not rice.
